2. Data processed
Depending on how you use the site, we may process your contact details, account information, order, delivery and billing data, exchanges with the workshop, quote requests, project-related information and technical browsing data. Payment information is processed by the payment providers available in Shopify.
3. Purposes
We use this data to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, process orders and payments, organise delivery, provide after-sales service and repairs, prevent abuse, comply with our legal obligations and improve how the site works. Commercial communications are sent only where permitted and can be declined at any time.
4. Recipients and providers
Data is accessible only to those who need it and, depending on the service concerned, to Shopify and to the payment, delivery, hosting, maintenance and audience-measurement providers actually used. These providers process data to deliver their services and in accordance with their own contractual and legal obligations.
5. Processing abroad
Some technical service providers may process data outside Switzerland, notably in Canada, the United States or the European Economic Area. Where the legislation of the country concerned does not offer a level of protection recognised as adequate, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, in particular recognised contractual clauses, or on an exception provided by Swiss law.
6. Retention
Data is kept for as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Order and accounting documents may be kept for ten years in order to comply with Swiss legal obligations. Other data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer necessary, subject to a need for evidence or a legal obligation.
7. Your rights
Within the limits provided by law, you may request access to your data, its rectification, its erasure or the restriction of its processing. You may also object to certain processing and request the delivery or transfer of your data where the legal conditions are met. Proof of identity may be requested in order to protect your information.
8. Cookies
The site uses the cookies necessary for it to work, in particular for the cart, security and the session. Other tools may be used to measure audience or improve the services. The preferences available in the browser or the cookie banner let you control non-essential cookies where a choice is offered.
9. Security
Deuxième Vie and its providers apply suitable technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse. However, no system connected to the Internet can offer absolute security.
10. Updates
This policy may be updated if the site, the providers or the legislation change. The date of the published version appears at the top of the page.
