At the Deuxième Vie workshop in Geneva, we make everyday objects to order from salvaged Swiss materials: tarpaulins, leathers and fabrics. Every piece has a story, and your teams, clients or members remember it.
Why give an upcycled object?
Giving an object made from materials that already exist sends a concrete message about your environmental commitment, without slogans. The object is useful, durable and unlike any other. It also showcases local know-how: it is sewn in Geneva, by hands that know the material.
Materials that come from Switzerland
We work exclusively with materials salvaged in Switzerland: old advertising and truck tarpaulins, leathers, fabrics. Tough and full of character, they make sturdy pieces that age well. For an organisation’s project, we can also give a second life to your own materials, for example an old event banner.
Any useful object can become a project
We do not offer a fixed catalogue: if an object is useful, we can make it. A few examples:
- Bags : backpacks, tote bags, sports or travel bags.
- Small leather goods and textile : pouches, pencil cases, cases, document holders, card holders.
- Office items : notebooks, pen sleeves, laptop sleeves.
- Tarpaulin pieces : water-resistant accessories and objects designed for everyday use.
Customise your object
Your visual identity can be integrated in several ways: woven labels, sewn labels, markings, embroidery or rubber labels. We help you choose the technique best suited to the material and to your logo. We can show you samples of materials and personalisations so you can choose colour, texture and finish.
Small budget, large budget
A project does not need to be huge to be successful. We support small budgets and large projects alike, and we adapt materials, finishes and personalisation to find the right solution with you.
